This course will examine the computer forensic analysis process and related criminal investigation methods ranging from searching, recovering, imaging, analysis and preservation of evidence on a variety of storage media. The course contents will be supplemented with hands-on exercises, case studies, and projects. Advanced topics such as disk geometry and analysis of non-Windows based systems. Prerequisite(s): CJ 261 with C or better
