CJ 244 - Cyber Intelligence and Counterintelligence Credit Hour(s): 3 Contact Hours: (2, 2)
This course is designed to introduce students to the field of intelligence/counterintelligence. Major aspects of the course will address the role, purpose, and history of intelligence analysis; the use of intelligence to carry-out national security, law enforcement and cybersecurity objectives; the roles of intelligence and counterintelligence in network security; the role of intelligence collection to support decision making; the role of counterintelligence as a means of deception in law enforcement and criminal behavior; and the role of intelligence in creating a security program. This course will tie intelligence collection and counterintelligence to current cyber threats.
