This course is designed to introduce healthcare providers to professional medical documentation practices. Documentation is an important part of the patient care process. The written report will become a part of the patient’s permanent hospital record and in combination with other healthcare professional reports become a valuable source for research on trends in emergency medical care and a guide for continuing education and quality improvement. This medical documentation may be used as evidence in a legal case.
