This course is an introduction to medical transcription and to medical references. Accurate transcription of medical reports is emphasized. Medical terminology, language skills, and medical transcription skills are introduced and reinforced. Transcription of reports of inpatient and outpatient case studies are available through audio CD, WAV files downloaded from the Internet, or audiotapes. Offered spring semesters only. Prerequisite(s): MT 115 and IS 113 or permission of instructor.
